Candidates' Weakness
Candidates could not describe in four steps the drafting of bishop sleeve. Many candidates did not answer the question and those who answered it failed. Learners should be taught how to adapt different types of sleeves and other feature on the garment.
Majority of the candidates could not explain the terms interfacing, inter lining and lining. Many candidates did not attempt the question and those who attempted it did not do well. Candidates should be made to make garments with lining, inter lining and endeavour to teach and show different parts of the garment through practical examples. Candidates should be Able to identify different parts of a garment and explain their functions. Awareness of different features on the styles candidates wear should be created. Candidates could not identify parts labelled on the sleeve..

To overcome these weaknesses,
- Candidates should be taught how to identify the head of the sleeve as the “crown” The hem line on all the blocks should be explained to students.
- Candidates should be more depth in various topics and study the specific functions of the tools and equipment they use.
- Technical terms such as crown, hemline and arm hole should not be new to candidates.
- Teachers should endeavour to teach pattern drafting and they should emphasize on construction terms, abbreviations and other pattern drafting terms and tools and their uses.
