(a) Describe any three features of local craft industry in Nigeria.
(b) Outline any four factors affecting the location of manufacturing industries in Nigeria.
(c) Highlight any three ways in which industries have contributed to the economy of Nigeria.

This question was quite popular and most candidates who answered the question performed averagely. Many of them misunderstood 'features of local craft industry' to mean 'features of manufacturing industries'.
The expected points on features of local craft industry included:

- limited space in used as workshop
- small labour force made up of mainly the family members
- smal I quantities of articles are produced which are sold in local markets
- many of the articles produced depend on equipments which are not electrically powered
- irregular hours of work
- less capital intensive
- irregular income
- uses local raw materials mainly
- prices of products are negotiable
- uses simple tools
- rare government assistance
- products are of high artistic qual ity
- all year round employment

The (b) and (c) aspects of the question were well treated by majority of the candidates.
