This was another popular question which was well tackled by candidates.
Majority of the candidates that attempted the question performed
creditably well. Many of them were also able to develop their points with
adequate use of terminologies. All this accounted for very good
performance in the question.
Some of the answers candidates presented to score good marks included:
- It considers and approves any amendment to the Charter;
- It coordinates the policy of the Organization;
- It appoints key officers of the organization including the Secretary General;
- It discusses matters of common concern of member states;
- It reviews the structures, composition, functions and activities of any of the organs of OAU;
- It considers reports of the Secretary-General and other organs.
