Allah kiyaye mu sharrin masu yin sharri,
Mutum da aljan da tsuntsaye da hayawanu.
Da mai qafafuguda huxu har da isanaini,
Da waxanda sun fi haka har masu jan baxunu.
(a)Daga wace waqa aka ciro waxannan baitoci?
(b) Mene ne jigon waqar?
(c)Kawo ma’anar kalmomin da aka ja wa layi.

The stanzas above were taken from the book Waqoqin Mu’azu Haxeja (Written poetry) and the candidate was expected to identify the poem from which the stanza was extracted in (10a), the theme of the poem in (10b) and interpret the underlined words in (10c). The following response was expected:
(a) Daga waqar Annamimanci, Luwaxu da Ashararanci aka ciro waxannan baitoci.
(b) Gargaxi shi ne jigon waqar.
