Observation

The question is on phonology, it required candidates to explain the manner of articulation of post alveolar sound in (a) and state the features of the given sounds in (b). The response should be given as follows:

(a)       Yadda ake furta ɗan bayan hanƙa:

Ana furta ɗan bayan hanƙa ne a lokacin da ƙirjin harshe da bayan tsinin hanƙa suka kusanci juna ko suka haɗe da juna.

(b) Siffar sautin [sh]:

ɗan bayan hanƙa;
zuzau;
maras ziza.

 ii Siffar sautin [c]:

 ɗan bayan hanƙa;
ɗan atishawa;
maras ziza.

 iii Siffar sautin [j]:

ɗan bayan hanƙa;      
ɗan atishawa;
mai ziza.

Few candidates attempted the question and their performance was poor.
