Observation
(a) This is an expository essay which required candidates to write on the importance of inter-ethnic marriage to this country. In doing so, they were expected to highlight some points which should include the following:

(b) The question is on narrative essay and candidates were required to write on how security challenges were tackled in their town. Candidates were expected to enumerate measures taken to manage the situation as follows:

(c) This is letter writing. Candidates were required to write a letter to the Agricultural Extension Officer in their town explaining to him the outcome of the harvest they had this year. The following features of letter writing and points should be reflected:

Many candidates attempted the question and their performance was good.
(d) The question is proverbial which says “There is no hurry in life.” In attempting the question, the candidates were expected to state the meaning of the proverb, give examples of similar proverbs and narrate a story that will describe the proverb. The following points should be reflected and considered as relevant.
i Ma’anar karin magana:

Many candidates attempted the question and their performance was commendable.
(e) The question is an argumentative essay; it sought the opinion of the candidates on the motion: men perform better in leadership than women. In attempting the question, the candidates were expected to take a position and advance convincing reasons. The following features and points should be reflected:
