This was a very popular question. The candidates were able to do justice to it and were rewarded handsomely with high marks. The following are some of the
difficulties they were expected to highlight:
(i) They had the problem of persuading the people to fully accept a religion that was culturally different from their own.
(ii) The traditional rulers who declared support for Christian missionaries only did so for political reasons.
(iii) They also faced financial problems.
(iv) Language barrier also posed a problem and they found it difficult to obtain interpreters.
(v) They lacked adequate number of personnel for the job. |
