This question was a very popular one and most of the candidates that attempted it performed very well. It demanded the candidates to explore the social, political, economic and cultural implications of inter-group relations for the people of Nigeria. Most of the candidates understood this question and answered it correctly. They explained some of the following points and scored good marks.
- It encouraged interaction among people of different geographical regions;
- inter-group relations promoted cultural diffusion;
- it promoted trade among the various geographical regions;
- people from various geographical regions acquired arts and crafts skills from one another;
- wars were fought for various reasons among neighbouring states etc.
