Examine the significance of Sizwe’s “death”?

Observation

The following points were expected to be developed by the candidates; the circumstances surrounding the “death” and the benefits derived from the “death”.

(a.) Sizwe’s assumption of the dead man’s identity will enable him to move freely without molestation by the authority and to get a better job.

(b.) Without the passbook of the dead man, Sizwe will be repatriated to King Williams town where there is no job for him.

(c.) His death and rebirth in Zwelinziman enables him to live a better life and take care of his family, it makes him a survival and to enjoy relative peace and freedom of a bonafide citizen of South Africa.

(d.) Sizwe’s death enables the world to know the terrible conditions of the blacks during the apartheid period in South Africa.

The candidates that attempted this question did justice to it.
