In part (b) candidates could not correctly explain the following terms as used in the game of volleyball: setting and rotation. In part (c) candidates could not correctly state duties of the referee in basketball game. In part (d) candidates correctly name officials in volleyball game.

- tosses the ball to start the game/administers jump ball
- decides whether or not a goal shall count
- decides the forfeiture of a game by team when necessary
- decides disputes on which time keeper and scorer disagree
- examines the score board and approves the score at the end of each half
- stops the game for when there is an infringement
