Skillfully demonstrate approach, hand placement, take-off, leg position and landing, the performance of through vault [10 marks]
Observation
This question was attempted by many candidates and their performance was fair. Some candidates could not skillfully perform through vault through the phases of approach, hand placement, take-off, leg position and landing.
However, the expected answers are as follows:
Activity 9: Through vault
1. The activity will be on the basis of process evaluation only.
2. Three trials are allowed and the best trial is recorded as score.
3. All performance will be judged according to the following rubrics.
Approach
(I) short run
(II) run towards the direction of the apparatus
Hand placement
(I) hand placed on the apparatus
(II) shoulder width part
Take-off
(I) take off on both feet
(II) not too close/too far from the apparatus
Leg position
(I) legs are together at take-off
(II) knees are bent at flight
(III) legs pass between the hands
(IV) legs are straightened at flight
Landing
(I) land on the balls of the feet
(II) bend knees/give in while landing
