Activity 3: Long jump
Procedure: Candidate performs three trials in long jump event. Use the scale of 5, 4,3,2,1 to rate the candidate’s performance in run-up, take-off, flight and landing.
Use the scale of5, 4, 3, 2, 1 as shown below to rate the candidate’s performance.

All performances should be judged according to the following rubrics.
Run-up
(i) standing / in a ready position
(ii) start from the check mark/distance
(iii) run within the runway
(iv) arms swing alternately
(v) accelerate towards the take-off board
Take-off
(i) step with one leg on the take-off board
(ii) take-off on one leg
(iii) the other leg follows
(iv) push off from the ground and propel body forward
(v) arms swing vigorously
Flight
(i) body in the air
(ii) body leans forward
(iii) towards the landing area/pit
(iv) arms swing / stretched forward / upward
(v) legs stretched forward / kick / drop
Landing
(i) feet / arms brought forward quickly
(ii) land on the heels
(iii) bend / flex knees to absorb landing shock / give in
(iv) push body up and forward
(v) walk out of the landing area
