All performances should be judged according to the following rubrics:
Stance
(i) assume an astride position
(ii) hand stretched forward with elbow slightly flexed
- palms facing forward
Approach
(i) make a short run towards the mat / floor
Body position
(i) hands stretched with palms facing downward
- elbow slightly flexed / bent
- hands are placed on the ground shoulder width apart
Execution
(i) head is tilted forward
(ii) push up with both feet
- feet are brought together in the air
- buttocks and legs are raised above the hands while the body turns in the air
Landing
(i) Lands on the balls of the feet
(ii) Knees bent / give-in while landing
