Observation
Candidates were required to define a syllable in Yoruba grammar in (a), use the F1KF2 pattern to derive F2 vowel co-occurence if ‘e’ and ‘ọ’ are F1 in (b) and give two examples each of words to illustrate the pattern of vowel co-occurence in (d). Many candidates mistook sound for syllable in (a), they attempted (b) satisfactorily.

Most candidates gave wrong examples and those who gave correct examples failed to tone-mark the word. This led to loss of marks.
