This question was not popular with the candidates and the performance of those that answered it was below average. In question 10(a), most of the candidates could list the factors that affect the efficiency of agricultural labour. Also, in question 10(b), many candidates could outline the ways in which capital is important in agricultural production.

However, in question 10(c), many candidates could not list the agencies that are involved in agricultural extension programmes in West Africa. Further to this, most of the candidates were unable to give the reasons why governments in West Africa should encourage agricultural extension services.
