Observation

This question was fairly attempted by the candidates but they could not identify and spell the farm tools. Furthermore, candidates could not state the uses of the farm tools and ways of maintaining them.  
 The expected answers include:

B – Pruning saw
C – Hoe

A:  (Sickle)

• For harvesting fruits /cereals in the field e.g. rice
• For light weeding
• For cutting pasture grasses                                                 

B:  (Pruning saw)

-     For cutting wood/log
C: (Hoe)

• For making ridges and mounds
• For planting crops and transplanting
• For weeding
• For harvesting tuber crops
• For light digging

• Clean the tools after use/wash and dry after use
• Rub the metal blades with oil to prevent rusting
• Sharpen the metal blades regularly
• Keep the farm tools in a cool dry place
• Keep wooden handles away from termites
• Replace broken parts
