As direct as this question was, it was not easy for some of the candidates that attempted it. As a result many of them wasted valuable time on writing irrelevancies. Candidates were expected to write on Jesus’ condolence visit to Mary and Martha at Bethany as a result of the death of their brother Lazarus.

In the (b) part, some were able to mention that (i) Jesus has the power to raise people from the death (ii) resurrection gives people confidence to face life’s challenges (iii) Christians are assured that life does not end in physical death.
