Most candidates were able to state the use of bow saw sketched.  However, they failed to sketch the bow saw correctly.  The expected response to question 1 is as given below:

                        (b)       -           Bow saw is used for cutting external curves near the edges of
                                                fairly thick timber;
                                    -           used for cutting curves;
                                    -           used for cutting external curves.
