Most candidates were able to list two activities a carpenter should perform to keep the workshop clean.

However, few of them could not answer the question:

  1 (a)   Activities to keep the workshop clean include:
-    Sweep off the saw dust and wood shavings from the floor and dispose
immediately after work;

• clean the machines immediately after work;
• pick-up waste pieces of wood on the floor and put them in the waste box;
• keep the projects in their proper places;
• keep tools properly arranged on the bench;
• wipe off oil on the floor;
• clean the wall surfaces of cobwebs and saw dust.
