Most of the candidates were able to:
   -           list four methods of applying preservatives to timber.
   -           State three reasons for applying a finish to timber.

 However, few of them were unable to:

    -           State five ways by which a carpentry and joinery entrepreneur will ensure
effective sales of the product.

-           open tank (hot and cold bath);
-           dipping;
