In this question, candidates were required to

(a) State rules that guide the preparation of leftover foods.

(b) Highlight the advantages of using leftover foods.

(c) State reasons for preserving foods.

 

 

OBSERVATION

 

The ‘a’ part of the question was not well attempted by majority of the candidates. Therefore, they preformed woefully. The candidates wrote answers such as do not reheat, recook, add water instead of store left over food until needed, serve hot with attractive/ fruit and vegetables to improve the lost nutrients. The rule were omitted and muddled by candidates while answering the question. But the ‘b’ & ‘c’ parts where well attempted and the candidates performed excellently.
