The Chief Examiner, in the report, commended candidates’ performance in the following areas:

1. Factor and remainder theorem;
2. Differentiation
3. Mean and mean deviation of group data
4. Use of the four figure tables;
5. Correct application of appropriate formulae.

The report further stated that candidates’ performance seem to be better in section B than it was in section A.
