Some candidates had no knowledge of the prescribed texts as exhibited in their answers to questions. Poor expression and presentation of ideas made candidates’ performance poor.

      3.   Suggested Remedies

(a)   Candidates should desist from relying only on short notes and summary                
       for study purposes, they should  endeavour to buy and study the prescribed
       texts.  

(b)   Candidates should strive to have good knowledge of the texts. They   
       should present their points in good English with reference to the texts.

(c)   The stakeholders in education should encourage candidates to read by
       providing the prescribed texts in the libraries.
