Observation

Many candidates attempted this question. However, some concentrated on the characters of Adade, Kabria and the children.

Candidates were expected to mention the following points among others:

• The Adade family set up
• The authoritarian role of Adade as family head.
• The subtle attack on the patriarchal system
• The Adade family as a contrast to Maa Tsuru’s family.

Candidates’ performance in this question was fair.
