• Walter’s aspiration to own a liquor store conflicts with Mama’s and Beneatha’s aspirations.
• Beneatha’s dream of becoming a doctor is not supported by Walter.
• Ruth and Walter have a troubled relationship.
• The conflicts are resolved as the entire family relocated to the white neighbourhood.
