Weakness and Remedies

 

 

The candidates’ weaknesses include their inability to:

  • be serious in their academic pursuit
  • express themselves in simple English Language i.e. medium of expression
  • cover WAEC syllabus
  • list materials needed by starter and track judge during an athletic meet.
  • state reasons why officiating is important during an athletics meet.
  • list materials needed by field judge and time keeper during an athletics meet
  • state faults that can affect performance in hurdle event
  • explain mixed doubles and let as terms used in table tennis game
  • differentiate between general exercise and specific exercise in physical education
  • state conditions required of an athletes during the ancient Olympic Games
  • name the main muscle that flexes elbow joint
  • describe a reflex action
  • name examples of stimulants and narcotics as classes of drugs

 

The following remedies were suggested to overcome these weaknesses:

  • candidates should be more serious in their academic pursuit
  • read and endeavour to write simple sentences in English Language and also communicate  in English Language
  • cover WAEC syllabus before the onset of examination
  • read extensively by making use of text-books, internet facility
  • visit stadia, sports centres, some recreation centres and amusement parks for
better understanding of the subject and learning.
