Observation

 

 

This question was attempted by few candidates and their performance was poor. Candidates could not properly demonstrate falling shots in handball.
However, the expected answers are as follows:
 
Activity 1:      Execution of a 800 metres race

Procedure:      The candidate is expected to execute three falling shots in handball game from the 7 metres line, at a target marked around the goalpost.

Use the scale of 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 to rate the candidate’s performance on run-up, take-off, flight and landing.

All performances will be judged according to the following rubrics.
Hold
(i)        with one hand
(ii)       firmly held
(iii)      fingers are spread around the ball
(iv)      ball not resting on the palm
(v)       thumb opposite the fingers

Stance
(i)        erect position
(ii)       ball in hand
(iii)      stand behind 7 metres line
(iv)      legs apart
(v)       astride position/one leg in the front, while the other at the back

Execution

(i)        one leg in contact with ground/other leg raised
(ii)       body leans forward
(iii)      focus on target
(iv)      ball forcefully released
(v)       player in a lying position

Product Evaluation

The purpose is to measure ability to falling shots at target around the handball goalpost. Goalpost is marked into specific target areas of 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Three trials are allowed and the best is recorded as score.
