Activity 1:      Trapping in Football Game

Procedure:      Candidate is expected to trap dropping ball with sole of the feet to the ground five times.

Use the scale of 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 to rate the candidate’s performance on run-up, take-off, flight and landing.

All performances will be judged according to the following rubrics.

(i)       assume a comfortable standing position
(ii)       body is relaxed
(iii)      arms are slightly flexed/bent
(iv)      head straight looking forward
(v)       legs flexed at the knees

(i)        body moved towards ball direction
(ii)       leg raised
(iii)      bring the leg close to the ball
(iv)      eyes/focus on ball
(v)       arms lifted and slightly bent sideways

Execution

(i)        trap the ball as it lands
(ii)       head dropped
(iii)      keep the ball stationary/motionless under the foot
(iv)      bring the hands down close to the body
(v)       body is relaxed

Product Evaluation

The purpose is to measure ability to falling shots at target around the handball goalpost. Goalpost is marked into specific target areas of 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Three trials are allowed and the best is recorded as score.
