SUMMARY OF CANDIDATES’ WEAKNESSES

   Candidates’ weaknesses were seen in their inability to:

                        -           describe backfire, sustained backfire and fusion welding;
                        -           draw a section of an underground drainage pipe;
                        -           explain cane rod and sewer.

            (2)       SUGGESTED REMEDIES FOR OVERCOMING THE WEAKNESSES

It was presumed that the poor performance of candidates in this maiden edition could be attributed to the lack of well-trained technical personnel in most schools.  Heads of schools were advised to endeavour to recruit
well-trained personnel.
