The figure above shows two views of a cast-iron bracket.  Draw full size, the isometric view of the bracket, making K the lowest point.

Observation

 

This was a question on isometric drawing.  Two views of a block were given in first angle orthographic projection and the candidates were required to convert the drawings to isometric drawing making a particular point the lowest.

            Most  of the candidates attempted this questions but they could not make use of the isometric axes and draw the isometric curves.

            Candidates were expected to do the following:

Isometric Drawing

(i)         use isometric axes;
(ii)        make X the lowest point;
(iii)       draw isometric box (120 x 65 x 50);
(iv)       draw face A ;
(v)        draw face B;
(vi)       draw face C;
(vii)      draw face D;
(viii)     draw face E;
(ix)       draw face F;
(x)        draw face G;

  1. draw face H;
  2. draw face J;
  3. draw face K;
  4. draw neatly
