Observation

Candidates were required to make a freehand pictorial sketch of builders square.  Most of the candidates that attempted this question performed above average but some did not show the thickness of the tool.

Candidates were expected to do the following:

(i)         draw  the tool showing the thickness;

1. draw for resemblance;
2. draw to proportion;
3. draw the blade (A);
4. draw the stock (B);
5. show the calibrations;
6. draw neatly;

Candidates were asked to make a neat freehand pictorial sketch of a ball pein hammer.  Many candidates attempted this question and performed well.

Candidates were expected to:

(i)         draw a three-dimensional objects;

1. draw for resemblance;
2. draw to proportion;
3. draw the frame;
4. draw the blade;
5. draw the wing-nut;
6. draw the handle;
7. draw neatly.
