Observation

The few candidates that attempted this question did poorly. The candidates were expected to answer in the following way:

A.        DRAWING              

1. Effective drawing of GSM Repairer in a workshop setting.                         

(ii)        Appropriate use of proportions and perspective in a suitable background.  

B.        COMPOSITION      
(i)         Skillful arrangement of all elements in the composition.                              
(ii)        Representation of appropriate mood in a mixed media.        

(iii)       Judicious use of space to size specifications 40cm by 30cm or at least three
quarters of available space.                                                                            

C.        COLOUR                 

(i)         Choice of colours that contrast and harmonize.                                             

(ii)        Effective mixture, application and distribution of colours.                           

(iii)       Ability to show tones, texture and direction of lights on all the objects.      

D.        INTERPRETATION          

(i)         Correct and pleasing representation of the theme: GSM repairer.    

E.        ORIGINALITY                   

1. Personalized style in the composition and overall effect.
