Observation
Few of the candidates attempted this question. The performance was poor. The candidates were expected to answer in the following way:
 (a)                   Styles  used by the ancient Greek architects in producing columns
    -           Doric order.
    -           Ionic order.
    -           Corinthian order.
    
    (b)                    Characteristics  of Greek sculptures during the archaic period
    -           Statue in free standing posture and  sitting postures.
    -           Life size and some are larger than  life size.
    -           Use figures in relief.
    -           Use of marbles, gold, ivory, wood,  bronze.
    -           Carving were smoothened and waxed.
    -           Symmetry flatness and stiffness of  form.
    -           Female figures are fully clothed.
    -           Carving are painted life like.
    -           Male figures are usually in nude.
    -           Wig like hairstyle.
