It was reported that majority of the candidates were weak in questions involving probability and matrices. Many candidates were also reported not to have adhered to instructions regarding approximation to a given figure or decimal place. Majority of them were also not able to apply the binomial expansion correctly.
Suggested Remedies
(1) Teachers should intensify their efforts on these areas of candidates’ weakness during classroom instructions.
(2) Candidates are encouraged to study past WASSCE question papers while preparing for the examination.
