This was a very popular question and was well attempted by candidates. Candidates found it very easy to state the required six points to score the maximum marks required. Candidates showed remarkable mastery of the issues demanded hence the overall candidates’ performance in the question was well above average.
Candidates did not forget to state some of the following salient points:
- formed the opposition party in the Federal parliament;
- helped to develop the Western Region;
- formed an alliance with NCNC to contest the 1964 general elections;
- fore front in the agitation for the 1951 constitutional reforms;
- established the first regional University in the Western Region, etc.
