- paint stirrer.
- State one function each of any three of the tools in 4(a) above.
Observation
Some candidates’ answered the question correctly as required. However, some candidates’ also answered the question out of point. Nevertheless, candidates were expected to answer the question this way:
(a) (i) paint strainer
(ii) palette knife
(iii) filling knife
(iv) paint stirrer
(b) Paint strainer
(i) to remove dirt from paint and varnish.
(ii) to remove skins from paint and varnish.
Palette knife
- for mixing paint.
Filling knife
- for applying filler in shallow uneven surfaces.
Paint stirrer
- to stir paint.
