Observation

This question is on spray painting. Some candidates did very well. The candidates were expected to provide the following answers in order to score good marks:
           
(a)        -           it is an equipment which uses compressed air to break up spray able   material and transfer it to the surface to be coated.
                                               
 (b)       -           avoid sparks
                        -           avoid smoking
                        -           provide fire extinguishers/provide buckets filled with sand and wet
                                    blankets.

•       spray in well ventilated area.
•       wear safety equipment.
•       keep area free of debris.
•       provide safety signs.

                 
(c)        employer must
-           provide protective clothing’s.
-           provide protective equipment.
-           provide proper maintenance and repair facilities.
-           provide medical or first aid kit.
-           ensure that the personal safety precaution complies with standard
regulations.

•       provide adequate trainings.
•       provide restroom/bathing facilities.
•       provide canteen facilities.
