Candidates were expected to:

1. produce lines QP and TX;
2. mark lengths QP and TX on extension starting from P and X;
3. make lengths QR and ST to cut Q at R and T1 at S1 to give  R1, S1;
4. extend the circle line downwards;
5. step KO down from O;
6. join P1 X1 with an arc.
