Most candidates were able to:

- State three reasons for constructing a fence wall around a domestic building;
- List five materials used for the constructing an access road to an office complex.

 

However, majority of the candidates were not able to sketch a Tee-hinge used for hanging a wooden gate and label the knuckle.

 

The expected response to question 5 is as given below:

 

5 (a)     Reasons for constructing a fence wall around domestic building:

 

- to keep off heavy wind;
-  to provide security;
-  to provide privacy;
-  to demarcate the boundary of the land;
-  to keep off intruders.
