(b) In what three ways can water resources be used?
(c) Describe three ways by which man’s activities limit the use of water as a resource.
This was a very popular question among the candidates and they scored very high marks in the question. The only part of the question where some candidates experienced difficulty was in the classification of water resources. Ways in which water resources could be classified include:
- According to location: underground vs surface water resources.
- According to composition: salt vs fresh water
- According to size: e.g ocean, seas, lakes, ponds, rivers, springs, streams.
- According to state : stagnant vs running water
