Yi  takaitaccen bayanin biyu daga cikin wa?annnan:
(a)      ?an ma’abba;
(b)     ?an kama;
(c)      ?an gambara.

Observation

Above is a question from the book Kowa Ya Sha Ki?a (Oral poetry). Candidates were required to explain any two of the above types of humorous singers.
Thus:
?an ma’abba

?an ma’abba shi ma wani ru?uni ne na maka?an fada, amma shi ba ya amfani da wani abin kida. Aikinsa shi ne yi wa sarki kirari ko ya ri?a yin wata magana ta azanci.
          Wani  lokaci sukan kwaikwayi muryar wa?a a maganarsu.  
           Misalan irin wa?annan mutane su ne Sarkin Bamba?awa da Soko da Madawakin
           Magana a fadar Sarkin Zazzau da Gawaji a fadar Sarkin Kano da Kakaki a fadar
           Sarkin Katsina da sauransu.

          ?an kama

Dan kama maka?i ne na ban dariya. Yakan ba jama’a dariya ta hanyar shigarsa da  ayyukansa da kuma wa?o?insa.
Wani abin ban dariya kuma sai ka ga ?an kama ya tsai da gemu, sannan kuma ya tsai da toliya a kansa. Idan ka tambaye shi dalili yin haka sai ya ce da kai wanne ne bai gada ba? Ubansa yana da gemu, uwarsa kuma tana da tukku.
?an kama yana kwaikwayon wa?o?in sauran maka?a ne ya juya su ya mayar da su wa?o?in abinci.
 
          Misalin kwaikwayon magana shi ne addu’ar da malamai sukan ce,
          Allah ya tsare mu da mugun ji da mugun gani
          Allah kuma ya kashe mu muna rayayyu:
Sai ‘yan kama suka sauya wannan addu’a suka yi mata sharhi:
                                                                                                                             Allah ya tsare mu da mugun ji da mugun gani.
          Mugun ji dai kana zaune ka ji an ce kaza
          ta zubar maka da fura…
