Question 1

 

  1. Wani taro da na tava halarta.

  2. Yadda ake yin xan wake.
  3. wa ya fi jin daxin rayuwa, a tsakanin mai jama’a da mai kuxi?
  4. Rubuta wasiqa zuwa ga goggonka,ka bayyana mata dalilan savaninku da taubashinka.
  5. Qin ja, qin tsinkewa.

 

Observation

 

 

(a). Candidates were required to describe an occasion they had attended. In doing so, they were expected to highlight some points which should include the following:

  • The type of the occasion;
  • The organizers of the occasion;
  • The people that attended ;
  • The purpose(s) of the occasion;
  • The date, and time;
  • The chairman venue of the occasion;
  • The speech(es) presented at the occasion;
  • The situation at which the occasion closes;
  • The most exciting events at the occasion;
  • The shortcomings;
  • The closing remarks, etc.

 

Candidates’ performance in this question was good.


(b). The question is an expository essay and the candidates were required to explain how to prepare Xan wake (a local food. Candidates were expected to describe the process, the utensils and the ingredients that are required to prepare the food. The following process, utensils and ingredients should be considered as relevant points:

    The process

    - the ingredients and utensils:

  • garin wake;
  • garin busasshen rogo;
  • garin kuka;
  • garin masara ko dawa;
  • rowan kanwa;
  • kwaryar kwabi;
  • muciya;
  • ruwan dafara ko karkashi;
  • mai da yaji da albasa ko miya;
  • gishiri da magi;
  • matsami;
  • murhu da tukunya da itace, da sauransu.
  • - the steps:

  • yadda ake kwavi
  • yadda ake jefawa;
  • yadda ake tsamewa;
  • ruwan tsamewa, da sauransu.

Many candidates attempted the question and their performance was good.

 

(c). The question above is an argumentative essay, it sought the opinion of candidates as regards who enjoys better life between The one that is generous and The one that is rich. In attempting the question, candidates were expected to take a position and advance convincing reasons for that.

    The one that is generous:

    Candidates that proposed this opinion were expected to highlight the following points:

  • jama’a rahama ce;
  • rufin asiri kodayaushe;
  • samun shawara cikin sauqi
  • ba ya wahala a hidimarsa;
  • zama cikin walwala da kwanciyar hankali;
  • soyayyar gaskiya;
  • hannu xaya ba ya xaukar jinka, da sauransu.

 

(d). The candidate was required to write a letter to his aunty explaining to her the cause of misunderstanding between him and his cousin. The following features are mandatory:

  • Address of the writer;
  • The date;
  • Salutation;
  • Content;
  • Conclusion.
  • The candidate was expected to identify some points that can be relevant such as:

  • qin karvar shawara;
  • saurin fushi;
  • wuce wuri
  • ragwanci;
  • almubazzaranci;
  • yarda da jita-jita;
  • qarya;
  • cin amana;
  • kwaxayi;
  • rashin hakuri, da sauransu.
  • Few candidates attempted the question and their performance was commendable.


(e). The statement above is a proverb which means: nothing is impossible. Candidates were required to give its meaning, narrate a story that illustrates the proverb and identify other similar proverbs, for example:

  • Sannu ba ta hana zuwa.
  • Wuyar aiki, ba a fara ba.
  • Komai nisan dare, gari zai waye.
  • Komai nisan jifa, qasa za ta faxo.
  • Rashin jini, rashin tsagawa.
  • In ka ga qi gudu, sa gudu bai zo ba.
  • Komai ya yi farko, zai yi qarshe.
