Question 1

 

  1. Gudunmawar mahaifina ga rayuwata.
    The contributions of my father to my life.

    In not less than three hundred (300) words, the candidate is required to write on the contributions of his father to his life. In doing that, he is expected to enumerate some personal qualities and status of the father and the good training and care he received from him socially, morally and academically. However, some points expected include the following:

                  Gabatarwa:
    
                      -	Sunan mahaifi;
                      -	Garin mahaifi da qaramar hukumarsa da jiharsa;
                  Halayen mahaifi:
                      -	 Kula da iyali;
                      -	 Haquri da juriya;
                      -	Hangen nesa;

                      -	Taimakon jama’a;
                      -	Zumunci;
                      -	Adalci da riqon amana, da sauransu.
                  Iyalinsa:
    
                      -	Yawan mata da ’ya’ya da dangi;
                  Matsayin iliminsa:
                      -	Na zamani;
                      -	Na addini;
                  Aikinsa ko sana’arsa:
    
                      -	Ma’aikacin gwamnati;
                      -	Xan siyasa;
                      -	Xan kasuwa;
                      -	Manomi, da sauransu.
    
                  Gudunmuwarsa ga rayuwata dangane da:
    
                      -	Tarbiyya;
                      -	Abinci;
                      -	Tufafi;
                      -	Ilimi;
                      -	Lafiya;
                      -	Dogaro da kai;
                      -	Mu’amala da sauran jama’a, da sauransu.
       Candidates’ performance on this question was encouraging.
                

  2. Yadda za a havaka noman shinkafa a qasar nan.
    How to improve rice farming in Nigeria.

    This is an Expository Essay and the candidates were required to write on how to improve rice farming in the country. Thus, some major points expected include:

                Gabatarwa:
    			        -   Bayani a kan noma da ire-irensa;
    
    	          Yadda za a havaka noman shinkafa:
                  -	Samar da kyakkyawan tsari;
                  -	Samar da kuxi domin bayar da rance ga manoma;
                  -	Samar da wadatattun filayen noma;
                  -	Samar da kasuwa ga manoma;
                  -	Samar da ingantaccen iri;
                  -	Samar da kayan aikin gona na zamani;
                  -	Samar da qwararrun malaman gona;
                  -	Samar da takin zamani wadatacce a kan lokaci;
                  -	Samar da magungunan kashe qwari ga manoman shinkafa;
                  -	Kafa masana’antun sussuka da sarrafa shinkafa;
                  -	Wayar da kan manoma a kan sabbin dabarun noma na zamani, da sauransu.
    
              

    Few candidates attempted the question and their performance was good.

  3. Amfanin qungiyoyin sa kai a cikin al’umma.
    The importance of cooperative societies in a community.

    The question above is on dialogue. It sought the opinion of candidates as regards the importance of cooperative societies in a community. In attempting the question, candidates were expected to advance convincing reasons.
    The following points could be considered relevant:

                Qungiyoyin Sa kai:
    
                  -   Gabatarwa:
    Qungiyoyin sa-kai su ne mutane da kan haxa kansu bisa wata kyakkyawar manufa ta taimakon al’umma a matsayin tasu gudunmuwa wajen gina al’umma tagari.
    
              -   Amfanin qungiyoyin sa-kai:
              -  Kawo kishin qasa da na al’umma;
              -  Taimakon al’umma da masu rauni;
              -  Qarfafawa ga masu mulki;
              -  Jawo ci gaba cikin al’umma;
              -  Samar da al’umma mai nagarta;
              -  Gina qasa;
              -  Rage yawan dogaro da gwamnati;
              -  Qara danqon soyayya cikin al’umma;
              -  Samar da aikin yi ga al’umma;
              -  Inganta tattalin arzikin al’umma;
              -  Bayar da agajin gaggawa ga al’umma;
              -  Taimakawa wajen inganta tsaro a cikin al’umma;
    				  -  Taimakawa wajen wayar da kan al’umma, da sauransu.

  4. Rubuta wasiqa zuwa ga abokinka, ka faxa masa abubuwa biyar da za ka yi a lokacin jiran sakamakon jarabawarka.
    Write a letter to your friend mentioning five things that you would do while awaiting your examination result.

    This is an informal letter. The candidates were expected to write using the following format:

    Address of the writer;
    Date ;
    Salutation;
    Content;
    Conclusion:
          - Signature;
          - Full name of writer; etc.
    
    The content of the letter may include the following points among others:
    
    Gundarin wasiƙa:
    -	Ranar da za a qare jarabawa;
    -	Ranar da za a tafi gida;
    		Abubuwan da za a yi lokacin jiran sakamakon jarabawa:
    
    -	Hutawa na xan lokaci;
    -	Liyafar kammala karatu;
    -	Ziyartar ’yan ’uwa da abokan arziki;
    -	Koyon wata sana’a;
    -	Karatun komfuta;
    -	Tallafa wa iyaye wajen gudanar da wasu  ayyuka;
    -	Tafiye-tafiye;
    			-      Nishaxi, da sauransu.
    
              

    Many candidates attempted the question and their performance was commendable.


  5. Idan rana ta fito, tafin hannu ba ya kare ta.
    If the sun rises, a palm of hand cannot block it.

 

Observation

 

The statement above is a proverb. Candidates were required to give its meaning, narrate a story that interprets the proverb and further identify other similar proverbs, for example:


-  Zakaran da Allah ya nufa da cara, ana muzuru ana shaho sai ya yi.
-  Mai rabon ganin baxi, ko ana ha-maza ha-mata sai ya gani.
-  Gobara daga kogi maganinki Allah.
-  Wanda Allah ya tarfa wa garinsa nono, ba zai sha da tsamiya ba.
-  Mai arziki ko a kwara ya sai da ruwa.
-  Tun ran gini, tun ran zane.
-  Alqawalin Allah ba ya tashi, da sauransu.
