This question was attempted by many candidates and their performance was fiar.  In part (a) candidates correctly mentioned diseases common to children.  In part (b) candidates could not correctly explain the health terms such as maternal health and child health.

The expected answers are as follows:

         -      kwashiorkor
   -      measles
         -      marasmus
         -      rickets
         -      poliomyelitis
         -      chicken pox
         -      malaria

      (b)  EXPLANATION OF HEALTH TERMS
                        (i)     MATERNAL HEALTH
                     -    this is a health care delivery/service
                     -    offered to a mother/grandmother
                     -    for healthful living of mother and child

                      (ii)    CHILD HEALTH

                              -       this is health care delivery services
-       towards a child from home, school and hospital
                              -       for healthful living of the child
