Observation

This was an unpopular question and the candidates that answered it score below average. Candidates were expected to mention the following points in order to get good marks.

(i)         Nigeria had many internal conflicts prior to the conquest.
(ii)        The resistance against the British was uncoordinated.
(iii)       Lack of military might.
(iv)       Differences in political systems.
(v)        Lack of unity among indigenous rulers.
(vi)       Lack of solidarity among the people.
