This is a question on phonology. Candidates were asked to give two differences between the phonemes ‘m’ and ‘n’ as consonants and as semi-vowels in (a); explain when they can be tone marked in (b) and tone mark some listed words in (c).
The points expected were: 

(a)       -Mgbe ‘m’ na ‘n’ na-arụ ọrụ ka mgbochiume, ha anaghị enwe ụdaolu.

  •         -Ụdaume ga-esorịrị ha.
  •         -Mgbe ‘m’ na ‘n’ na-arụ ọrụ ka myiriụdaume, ha na-enwe ụdaolu.
  •         -Ha na-abụ nkejiokwu.
  •         -Mgbe ụfọdụ, mgbochiume na-eso ha.

(b)        A na-akanye akaraụdaolu n’elu ‘m’ na ‘n’ mgbe ha na-arụ ọrụ dị ka myiriụdaume/mgbe ha bụ nkejiokwu.
