A good number of candidates attempted this question. Many gave mere narrations and wrote generally about the theme of deceit in the text, onle a few were able to point out that the theme of the play was more about deceit and intrigue.
The required answers should include:
- • Relating conflict to the theme of the play.
- • The characterising feratures of Maligu and Kindo in the play.
- • Maligu’s actions.
- • Kindo’s actions.
- • Resolution of the conflict as the play unfolds.
Candidates’ performance was poor.
