    Use Figure 1 above to answer the following questions.

             

      (a)   Identify the labelled parts in Figure 1:

      1. O;

      2. N;

      3. P.        

      (b)       Identify Figure 1.

      (c)       State one function each of the labelled parts of Figure 1.

      (d)       Describe how to load film into Figure 1.


Observation

 

 

The question was not attempted by most of the candidates. The performance was poor from the few that attempted it.  The candidates were expected to provide the following answers in order to score good marks:

(a)    

(i)        O         -           viewing lens;

(ii)       N         -           taking lens;

(iii)      P          -           view finder;


(b)       Twin- lens camera.

(c)       O         Viewing lens

-           Enables viewing;

-           for composing;

-           for focusing.


N         Taking lens

-           For exposing/taking picture;

-           directs the image forming light into the film.

P          View finder

-           Used to determine the picture frame;

-           enables the photographer to compose the subject;

-           used for focusing;

-           enables photographer see the image (subject/object).                               


(d)     

-           Open the camera back to access the film chamber;

-           position film rightly in the chamber;

-           insert the film tongue into the take up spool;

-           wind gently until it is firm;

-           close the camera back.
