Few candidates attempted this question and the candidates’ performance was fair.
In part (a)(ii)  candidates could not describe the set position in a 400 m race. 
In (c)(ii) candidates could not mention facilities needed in horizontal jumping events.   

The expected answers were as follows:

(a)(ii) Description of the set position in a 400m races

1. The athlete raises the hips than the shoulder level
2. He moves the shoulders forward/rocks forward over the starting line
3. Body weight is shifted unto the arms/fingers
4. Both legs are bent at the knee
5. Head in a natural alignment with the trunk
6. Athlete remains motionless and ready to move.

                                                                                            
(c)(ii)   Facilities needed in horizontal jumping events in athletics:

• Runway
• Landing pit/area
• Take-off board
