      Candidates were required to
- Explain why the  following factors have to be considered when planning the wardrobe:
        
- weather condition;
 - money available;
 - family composition.
 
 - Differentiate  between the following as used in clothing and textiles:
        
- calico patch and print patch;
 - repair and remodelling.
 
 
- State reason why families renovate clothing.
 
OBSERVATION:
Many candidates performed very well in question 3a (i), ii and iii. Few candidates responded correctly to the differences between calico patch and print patch, repair and remodeling. The expected answers are:
      Calico  patch is a method used for articles like sheets, aprons where there are no patterns  to be matched while print patch is a method used for mending outer garments  which are printed or have woven patterns which need to be matched.
      Repair  is the day-to-day maintenance of clothing and household articles while  remodeling is the process whereby an out-fashion garment is taken apart and  remade into other articles. 
      In  question 3c, candidates performed well in responding to reasons why families  renovate clothing.
